Sache was originally purchased as an unstarted 3 1/2 year old as a secondary prospect, while Stephany was focusing her attentions more on another young horse she gained at the same time. The thought at the time was that Sache would end up being a nice sales prospect, but as things started to fall apart with the first young horse, Sache got his chance to stand on center stage.

Baby D, as he is affectionately known around the barn, was a bit of a favor from a longtime friend and previous employer, Lori Minteer of Reflections Farm http://www.reflectionsfarm.com/ . Stephany's training career really started at Reflections Farm way before it WAS Reflections Farm, and Lori always vowed to be the one to provide Stephany with that one special horse.

Working at Rolf Henn's barn in Neuwied turned out to be the ticket...the golden ticket. Racoon 7 was a 12 year old Westphalen gelding that was supposed to be Rolly's next international horse, but had been sidelined from the international scene by a bizarre back conformation that required surgery. Set back from the original time frame for Rolly to show him, he was the horse that Stephany tried out on when she came to rolly's barn, and was being brought back to work by one of the other working students.
